How Many Attempts Do I Get on the EPA 608 Exam?

The EPA 608 Certification Exam is an important step for HVAC technicians who want to work with refrigerants. At SkillCat, we understand that not everyone passes on their first try, which is why we offer 4 attempts to pass the exam.

But what happens if you don’t pass within those 4 attempts? Here’s everything you need to know.

How the 4 Attempt Rule Works

  • You have up to 4 chances to pass the EPA 608 exam.

  • Each attempt gives you the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and earn certification.

  • If you pass, you’ll receive an update through email on your EPA 608 Exam once the proctoring team reviews your exam. It usually takes the team 1-2 days to review your proctoring.

  • If you fail, you would have to wait another 4 hours to give the exam a try again. In case you failed due to a technical issue then please reach out to info@skillcatapp.com

What Happens If You Fail All 4 Attempts?

If you exhaust all 4 attempts, you will need to complete all training modules again before you can take the exam again. This ensures that you fully understand the material and are prepared for success.
