The NATE Ready to Work course is included in your SkillCat subscription:
$10/month for the monthly plan
$96/year for the annual plan
Or included during your free trial period
The NATE Ready to Work final exam is a paid exam, and the cost is:
$60 for your first attempt
$45 for each additional attempt (if needed)
📱 2. Important Notes Before You Start
The NATE Ready to Work exam can only be taken on the SkillCat App — it cannot be taken on a computer or web browser.
You’ll need the following before starting your exam:
A smartphone with the SkillCat App installed
A stable internet connection
A valid photo ID to upload before starting the test
🧭 3. Steps to Take the NATE Ready to Work Exam
Open the SkillCat App.
Go to the Home tab.
Tap the search icon (🔍) in the top right corner.
Type “NATE Ready to Work” in the search bar.
Tap on the course when it appears, then select Start.
You can complete the training lessons first, or skip directly to the exam.
If you are directly scrolling to the exam then scroll to the last section titled “NATE Ready to Work Final Exam.”
Expand that section and tap “NATE Ready to Work.”
You’ll now see a screen showing the exam price ($60) and a note that this is a paid exam.
Tap Continue to move forward.
🧾 Create Your NATE Account
Before payment, you’ll be asked to create your NATE account.
Fill in the following details carefully:
Full Name
Email Address
Date of Birth
Gender (optional)
⚠️ Important:
Make sure this information matches your photo ID, and double-check your email address — this is where your exam confirmation and results will be sent.
💳 Complete Your Payment
Once your details are filled in, proceed to payment:
Pay $60 for your first attempt.
If you don’t pass the first time, each additional attempt costs $45.
After payment, you’ll be able to start your exam immediately on the app.
