If you’re getting ready to take your EPA 608 certification exam, it’s helpful to know exactly how many questions to expect — and how it’s structured. Here’s a clear breakdown for you:

EPA 608 Exam Question Breakdown:

For each EPA exam type, you’ll first need to answer 25 Core questions.
Then, you’ll answer 25 additional questions specific to the type of certification you're taking.
All the questions are mixed together in the exam — but don’t worry, it’ll be clear which type each question belongs to as you go along.

You’ll need to score at least 70% overall to pass.

Here’s How Many Questions Each Exam Has:

  • Universal
    25 Core + 25 Type I + 25 Type II + 25 Type III = 100 total questions

  • Type I
    25 Core + 25 Type I = 50 total questions

  • Type II
    25 Core + 25 Type II = 50 total questions

  • Type III
    25 Core + 25 Type III = 50 total questions

So whether you're going for just Type I or going all the way for Universal, now you know exactly how many questions to expect and how it’s structured.
