What does "Avg Score" under "View Employees actually measure?

Here is what Avg Score means.

Written by Simran Phulwani

The Avg Score shown on an employee's profile is not an average of the quizzes they've completed. It's calculated across every final exam in their assigned Learning Plan including ones they haven't taken yet.

Formula: Total points scored on finals ÷ Total number of finals in the Learning Plan

Because unattempted exams count as zeros in that calculation, an employee who's scoring 90–100 on every completed final can still show a low Avg Score if they have several finals left in their plan.

Example: An employee is 3 finals into a 10-final Learning Plan, scoring 95 on each. Their Avg Score shows as 28.5, not because they're struggling, but because 7 unattempted finals are pulling the number down.

What this means for admins

Avg Score is most useful as a progress indicator, a low number often just means the employee is early in their plan, not that they're performing poorly. For a true read on performance, look at the individual scores on completed finals rather than relying on this number alone.
