Summary
A due date is the deadline for your employee or technician to complete an assigned training.
Due dates must be set when assigning training, either for one employee or for multiple employees at once.
To extend a due date, you need to reassign the training plan to the employee with a new due date.
What is a Due Date?
A due date in SkillCat is the deadline by which an employee, technician, or learner is expected to complete their assigned training. Setting due dates helps your team stay organized and ensures timely course completion.
How to Assign a Due Date
Login to the SkillCat app.
Click on "Go to training dashboard."
Select "Assign Training."
There are two ways to assign a due date (due dates must be set at the time of assigning the training)
a) Bulk Assign to Multiple Employees
Click on the Bulk Assign section.
Select the learning plan from the dropdown menu.
Right next to the learning plan, choose the due date you want by selecting your preferred completion deadline.
Select the employees/techs who should be assigned this training and due date.
Click "Assign to selected employees."
b) Assign to a Single Employee
Click on the Single Assign section.
Use the search bar to find the employee by name.
Select the learning plan you wish to assign.
Click under "set due date" to choose the deadline for that employee.
Then click "Assign to Employee"
How to Extend a Due Date
If you need to extend the deadline for an employee or tech:
Go to "View Employees"
Go to the specific employee’s tab (e.g., "Simran’s tab") on your dashboard or you can also search for the employee and then go to their tab by using the search bar.
Click on "Actions."
Select "Assign a new training plan."
Reassign the required training (e.g., EPA 608 Universal course).
When prompted, set the new due date—this will reset the completion timeline for that employee.
⚠️Tip: The new due date only takes effect if you reassign the training plan
