If a trainee's 90-day access window has expired, they will no longer be able to log in and continue their training on SkillCat. As an admin, you can extend their access by deactivating their profile and re-adding them to the dashboard — this resets the clock for another 90 days.
ℹ️ Good to know: Deactivating a trainee does not delete their profile, progress, or certifications. Everything is saved and will be available once they are re-added.
Step 1: Deactivate the trainee
Log into your SkillCat Training Dashboard.
Click on View Employees.
Find the trainee's name card and click the Actions button in the top right corner of their card.
Click Deactivate User.
Click Confirm.
The trainee will be removed from your active employee list, but their account and all their training data are preserved.

Step 2: Re-add the trainee
Click the Add Employees button.
Select the Add Individually tab.
Enter the trainee's First Name, Last Name, and the same email address as before.
Click Add Employees.
The trainee will receive a new welcome email and their 90-day access window will restart from today. Their previous progress will remain intact and they can continue from where they left off.

Important notes
Use the same email address when re-adding the trainee. This ensures their existing account and progress are linked correctly.
Re-adding a trainee counts as a new active seat and will be reflected in your next billing cycle.
If the trainee doesn't receive their welcome email after being re-added, ask them to check their spam folder, or resend credentials from your dashboard. See: How do I resend login credentials.
